The Texas Real Estate Commission in December launched its Certified License History feature, which allows you to print your certified license history for free. You may need to provide your certified license history if you apply for another license in Texas or in another state. TREC’s tool shows your license status, initial issue and expiration dates, education history, and disciplinary history, if applicable.
Although intended for use by real estate license holders, the public can access the tool and license holders’ history. Learn how it works at trec.texas.gov.
It didn’t show my history from before I became a broker.
I did this and my “history” shows I was licensed in 1988. What happened to the other 11 years that I had my license with TREC? I’ve held a Texas Real Estate license since November 1977 and have also been a Realtor with the Galveston Association since then. I received a Realtor Emeritus certificate from NAR in 2017. My guess is that TREC only began it’s “history” recordings when we all had to begin taking MCE.
Andrea , what is a REALTOR Emeritus from NAR? I am not familiar…..thanks for your help.
You receive this honor if you have been in one Association for a minimum of 40 years. I’ve been a member of the Galveston Association of Realtors since November 1977. At least GAR has kept good records.
same for me.
Andrea the same thing happened with me. In my case, they had the other years under my maiden name. Not sure why they don’t do it by license number though.
Their “Junior Clerks don’t make an effort to be detailed …hard to find good help these days
Mine is wrong too.
GW
My records are missing also. I was licensed as Texas Broker since 1974.
It does state in the disclaimer at the bottom of the printout that “The original license date does not necessarily reflect continuous licensure.” That may explain why some of the history does not appear.
I was licensed in 1978 Broker 1980 and TREC thinks I got started in 1987
I’ve just tried to get mine, and when you click the “Print License History” button, nothing happens… no PDF pops up. Wonder if they took this offline based on the inaccuracies people are seeing from the comment thread below.
Never mind… pop-up blocker was on.
The site didn’t find either my brokers license or my state certification as a general appraiser. Must not be active yet or the same IT person that created the TREC and TALC site created it.
I did get the site to find both my certification and license. However, the 10/22/1992 is an upgrade date and does not reflect the issuance of my original salesperson license back in 1977.
Is there anyway to obtain a complete license history from TREC and TALC Board?
I became a broker in 1980. My history doesn’t start until 1992.
My license isn’t found. If I do a regular TREC search it is there. I tried it under name and license number with no results.
I just tried it and it can’t find me. I put my name, then changed to my License number but no information could be found. Did not work for me.
Mine did not show my first 10 years either. I became licensed in 1978 and it show my history beginning in 1988. All education I had prior to that not showing either? I went to Ahrens Real Estate School on the Allen Parkway for my original 90 required hours. And ALL my 270 hours from American College of Real Estate on I 45 just south of FM 1960 to obtain my brokers license dont show up? I have been active and continuous licensing ever since then.
I did and no record appears.
The site didn’t bring up anything under my name or licenses numbers
I don’t see why the public should have access to our personal history anyways, they already know too much about our transactions. Being a Realtor is becoming more and more unsafe. Why don’t they just give out our address as well, dont like this!!!
Isn’t there a law about our “right to privacy?”
I wonder if TAR used an outside service to gather the information as the TREC website is at least up to date.
I was licensed in 1983. My education is missing for those years.
Mine is wrong too. Licensed in 1980, this starts at 1988. We are all commenting on the TAR site., We need to take this particular issue to the TREC site so TREC sees it.
Doesn’t show my original license either in 1986.
Need to look further into this.in the discussion
I had to load everything before 2010. There was a fire at ABOR or something like that and all the records from the 1990’s are gone.
I was Licensed prior to 1988 and all it shows is from 1988.
I wanted to see how long I have been in Real Estate and
nowhere to look it up. So how can we find out?
This is not accurate at all. It shows I was first licensed in 1987 when in fact I was licensed in 1977.
I took classes online from a school based out of AUSTIN TEXAS…cant find these people and or my CERTIFICATES.
It’s not showing me at all.
